Chamidu Wickramasinghe is a high quality Sri Lankan all rounder.

A left handed batter and right arm medium fast bowler, he was born on 6 September 2002 in Kandy and has quickly emerged as one of Sri Lanka’s top talents.

Wickramasinghe began his domestic career with Sinhalese Sports Club, making his Twenty20 debut on 4 March 2021. He has since represented teams such as the Dambulla Sixers in franchise competitions and has gained experience across formats including first class, List A, and T20 cricket.

His breakthrough came during the 2024 season, particularly in the Lanka Premier League, where he delivered standout performances. One of his most notable displays included an unbeaten 56 off 34 balls along with remarkable bowling figures of 2 wickets for just 1 run against Galle Marvels. These performances earned him a call-up to the national side.

On the international stage, Wickramasinghe made his Twenty20 International debut for Sri Lanka against India on 30 July 2024 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. He later made his One Day International debut against New Zealand on 19 November 2024, becoming Sri Lanka’s 215th ODI player.

Chamidu is now targeting a summer in the UK following the conclusion of the National Super League in Sri Lanka and represents one of the best all round options available for the coming season. A player of international calibre and a genuine all rounder capable of winning games with both bat and ball.
