Claudia Green

Claudia Green is a proven force in New Zealand domestic cricket, spearheading the Central Hinds attack since her debut in 2018/19. Renowned for her prodigious in-swing to right-handers, she has evolved from a new-ball specialist into a versatile bowler capable of swinging the ball early and delivering clever change-ups through the middle overs. Across 121 matches in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and Women’s Super Smash, Green has claimed 105 wickets at 27.96 in List A and 24.98 in T20, while also making valuable lower-order contributions with the bat. Determined to push higher up the order, she has already shown her batting pedigree in domestic cricket for the Nelson Nyxons.

Her talent has been recognised at the highest level, earning a New Zealand Women’s XI debut in 2021 where she snared a five-wicket haul against England, leading to White Ferns squad selection for the England tour later that year. In 2022 she was part of New Zealand’s bronze medal-winning team at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, and has since featured for New Zealand A and the Women’s XI against top international opposition.

Off the field, Green is a qualified NZC Advanced Foundation Coach with experience as Female Development Officer for Nelson Cricket Association, and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of players. She broadened her horizons in 2024 with a standout maiden overseas stint for Balbriggan in the Leinster Cricket League, taking 16 wickets at 19.75 and scoring 255 runs at 23.18, before impressing in the Evoke Super 20 Trophy.

Competitive, driven, and team-focused, Green is intent on returning to the White Ferns fold, but in the meantime is targeting another summer in Europe for 2026 — offering a rare combination of international experience, domestic pedigree, and coaching expertise to any club fortunate enough to secure her services.
