Connor Dale is a talented batter playing for Delfos Cricket Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A left-handed opening batter, Dale has represented Johannesburg West Districts at Under-15 (2016-17), and 19 (2018-19), level. He was selected for the final round of the Gauteng Provincial trials in 2017 and was involved with their winter training programme in 2019.

At school level, he starred for Trinity House Little Falls, winning the best junior cricketer (2016-17), senior cricketer and full school colours (2018-19), awards. During his final season at school (2018), Dale racked up 1,500 runs with a highest score of 204*.

Since transitioning to club cricket, he has represented the Delfos Cricket club in the Central Gauteng League. He has featured predominantly in the President's A League (2nd XI), with the odd outing in the Premier A League (1st XI).

Due to the strength of the first team, Dale’s opportunities have been limited. However, his exploits over the past few seasons will no doubt be rewarded with regular first-team honours this summer.

Following his debut season in 2019, he moved swiftly up the ranks from SU4 to making his Premier debut early in 2020. Last summer (2020/21) he averaged over 50 with the bat in the President’s League, including 60 in the final against Wits.

Holder of a British Passport, Dale is keen to progress in the game and has targeted a UK league season in 2022. The talented cricketer comes highly recommended and seems destined for higher honours, whether that be in South Africa, or the UK.
