Hooper has currently taken 23 wickets for his current club Morrinsville-Piako Cricket Club at a respectable average of 25.62 including figures of 4-63 against the top ranked Hamilton club Hamilton Old Boys' and 3-30 in the Waikato Valley Premier Men's One-day final. Hooper has also played for the Taradale Cricket Club in the Hawke's Bay Premier Men's competition and made his debut at the age of 16 and was one of the youngest and quickest bowlers in the competition. Hooper has a solid season that year, winning the bowler of the year award and taking the scalps of first-class players Christian Leopard, Joey Field and Will Clark.

Hooper earned a call-up to the Waikato Valley Men's squad in the 2022/23 season and though he was not able to make his debut due to the availability of several first-class players, he is looking at pushing for a permanent position in the team this upcoming season and will certainly put his best foot forward.

The talented Kiwi has now signed for Torrisholme Cricket Club for their Palace Shield 2024 campaign.
