His ability to take wickets at important stages makes him a valuable bowling option across all formats.
With the bat, Daniel is an explosive number eight who offers genuine lower order hitting. Particularly effective in white ball cricket, he is a positive stroke maker with good ball striking ability and the intent to score quickly, giving his side an additional attacking option.
Daniel has represented Essex U18s for three consecutive years and made his Essex 2nd XI debut at just 16 years old. He has also been professionally contracted by Essex for the Metro Bank 50 Over competition, gaining valuable experience within the county professional environment.
At club level, Daniel has been an important part of Colchester & East Essex Cricket Club, helping the side win the Essex Premier League while taking 34 wickets during the title winning season. He has also won the Super 4s competition twice and the Bunbury Festival once.
Daniel's long term ambition is to earn a full time professional contract with Essex CCC. Having already experienced life within the professional setup, he is now looking to use a season in New Zealand to further develop his game, with a particular focus on increasing his bowling pace, gaining experience in different conditions and playing a high volume of competitive cricket.
An exciting left-arm wicket taking bowler with professional county experience, Daniel also holds an ECB Level 1 coaching qualification. No doubt Daniel would be an exciting last minute addition to a New Zealand club for the upcoming season.
