Dulanga Dissanayake is an emerging bowling all-rounder making her mark in Sri Lankan women’s cricket. A left-handed middle-order batter and attacking leg-spinner, she represents Colombo Colts Cricket Club and the Sri Lanka U23 Women’s Development Squad, and is currently pushing for full national honours. Since making her first-class debut in September 2018, she has impressed across formats, building a reputation as a wicket-taking threat and a valuable team contributor.

Dissanayake’s breakthrough came early in her career when she was named “Best Bowler” in the Colombo District U23 Tournament, a performance that cemented her place in the Colts setup. She has gone on to represent Sri Lanka at multiple levels, including captaining her school’s U19 team, winning the All-Island Tournament, and featuring in the Super 4 League in 2022. Her international exposure includes representing Sri Lanka at the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup in January 2023, as well as tours to India with the U19 national side.

In domestic List A cricket, Dissanayake has taken 16 wickets in 25 matches at a remarkable average of 12.43, with best figures of 4 for 23 and an economy rate of just 3.25. While her batting remains a developing aspect of her game, her primary strength lies in her ability to bowl with control, variation, and penetration. She has also gained experience in T20 cricket, both domestically and at U19 international level.

Currently continuing her strong form with Colombo Colts, Dissanayake is seeking opportunities abroad, with a particular focus on a UK stint for the 2026 season, aiming to further her development and showcase her skills on the global stage.

Note: Dissanayake's eligibility window for UK club cricket (based on 5 U19 CWC matches in the last 36 months) remains open until 14 Jan 2026.
