** Updated profile for 2025 coming soon... **
Ethan Carrington is an exciting quick bowler from Perth, Australia.
A former Western Australia age group (U17, U19) star, the towering seamer has represented the State at the National Championships in recent seasons.
At club level, Carrington was a star performer for 2022/23 Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) 1st Grade Premiership winners Perth Cricket Club. The quick bagged 29 wickets at 21.48 throughout their victorious campaign in a side skippered by former State/BBL batter Jonathan Wells that includes fellow State player Sam Fanning and Middlesex 2nd XI star Joel Curtis.
Carrington finished the WACA 1st Grade competition amongst the leading quicks and is now pushing Futures League (WA 2nd XI) selection.
In view toward his ongoing development, Carrington has enjoyed two very successful UK stints. His maiden back in 2019 with Barkisland in the Drakes Huddersfield League (47 wickets at 24.06), then a sensational stint in the Midlands last summer (2023) playing for both Solihull Blossomfield (Warwickshire Cricket League) and Worcestershire 2nd XI.
For the latter, in his solitary 2nd XI Championship outing against Gloucestershire (June 2023), he picked up a 10 wicket haul, bagging figures of 5-30 (10), and 5-61 (14.5), to help Worcestershire to an innings and 179 run victory.
The dual Passport holding quick is clearly a player for the future who is eager to secure Premier cricket on his return in 2024.
