Freddie Ammonds is a talented batting all-rounder (spin) from Worcestershire, England.
Having started in the Herefordshire Youth Pathway, he moved into the Worcestershire set-up in 2019 and has been among the leading run scorers for the county every summer since then. His performances have earned him Sub-Academy selections and he was part of the county's U18 squad this summer, even though he was still a year young.
Long renowned as one of the best fielders in the Worcestershire CCC pathway, as a batter he has a solid defence, which has allowed him to expand his repertoire of attacking shots in recent years. Now batting more often as a number 3 or 4, Freddie’s mature cricket brain and team ethic are two of his greatest strengths, while his timing, ability to rotate strike and run well between the wickets are huge positives when batting in all formats of the game. He made his maiden century aged 16 for the school First XI in 2023 and this summer made his first senior century for Barnards Green in Worcestershire League Division 2.
Having worked hard on his bowling he was leading wicket taker for his school's First XI in 2024, taking 33 wickets at an average of around 15 and is determined to keep developing his skills so he can continue to make key contributions with both bat and ball.
