George Gowler (21) is a talented quick bowler from Cambridge, England.
Gowler is a front line right arm quick who bowls with good pace and control, he is also a useful lower order batter. The impressive quick has been on the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club playing staff for the last 2 years, until he was recently in September 2024.
The Englishman has played a number of games for the 2nd XI, and was also part of the Metro Bank One Day squad. Gowler has also been a part of the Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club NCCA side for a number of years (Minor County), after progressing through the Pathway system after impressing through the age group system.
At club level Gowler has starred for Wisbech Town Cricket Club in the Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire Premier League for a number of years, and in 2024 took 42 wickets at with best figures of 8 for 16. The impressive quick still has aspirations of playing the game professionally and is studying at Loughborough University where he is part of the MCCU set up.
He is now seeking a placement in Melbourne CBD for next winter, as he will be doing a business related work placement (might need help sorting). He is also a keen and qualified coach.
No doubt a serious pick up for 2025/26 season, and one that wants to commit early....
