Imtiaz Hossain

Imtiaz Hossain — known throughout the Bangladesh cricketing circuit as “Tanna” — is a seasoned batting all-rounder with over two decades of professional experience and more than 350 domestic appearances to his name.

Having made his first-class debut back in 2001/02, Tanna has enjoyed a highly accomplished career representing multiple teams across Bangladesh, including Bangladesh A on overseas tours to Australia and England. A consistent performer, he has amassed 12,466 runs with 18 centuries and averages 27.26 across First-Class and List A formats. With the ball, his off-spin has yielded 103 wickets at 34.23, further underlining his all-round value.

A respected leader on and off the field, Tanna has captained various sides throughout his career, most recently leading Sylhet Division — a side that includes fellow CricX clients Abu Jayed and Rahatul Ferdous. Despite being in the third decade of his playing career, he remains as competitive and committed as ever, continuing to contribute both runs and wickets at the domestic level.

In 2025, he made his UK debut with Gidea Park and Romford CC in the Essex League, where he’s currently enjoying a productive season. As of August, he has scored 496 runs at 38.15, with a top score of 91.

Still hungry for success and with plenty of cricket left in him, Tanna is seeking a return to the UK in 2026 — bringing with him a wealth of experience, consistency, and professionalism that would benefit any club.
