Jack O'Rourke is an exceptionally talented wicket-keeper batsman from Christchurch, New Zealand, born in the United States and holding an American passport.
Fresh out of high school, Jack currently plays for Christchurch powerhouse Heathcote Cricket Club in the Metro Premier competition.
Also a regular in the Canterbury age-group set-up, Jack represented Canterbury Under-17s at the New Zealand Under-17 Tournament in 2023/24 before stepping up to Canterbury Under-19s for the 2025/26 campaign, featuring in the National Competition in December 2025. Batting at number three throughout, he struck a half-century against Otago and kept wicket for the entire tournament.
A dynamic gloveman and a classy right-handed top-order batsman, Jack played 105 games for St Andrews College, scoring numerous hundreds and breaking multiple school records along the way. Across his representative and age-group two-day cricket he's racked up 714 runs at 29.75 with a hundred and five fifties, a highest score of 129 not out, and has chipped in with tidy off-spin on the side. Behind the stumps he's been just as busy, taking 20 catches and 6 stumpings. His numbers hold up just as well in the shorter formats, with 762 one-day runs at 29.31 including four fifties, and 134 T20 runs at a strike rate touching 120.
No doubt a star of the future, O'Rourke is keen to explore overseas opportunities, including America and Europe. Holding an American passport, the youngster is classed as 'Pathway' due to his representative honours.
