Jacob Lockheart is an impressive top order batter from Norfolk, England.
A classical right-hander, the 21-year-old enjoys batting for long periods of time and looks to build his innings. The youngster currently plays for North Runcton Cricket Club in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance.
Despite always having a natural talent for batting, in his early years Jacob struggled to put a weight of runs to his name. However, in recent years Jacob has managed to enjoy two prolific seasons with the bat in hand. In 2022, Lockheart racked up 782 runs across all formats at an average of 41.16. In 2023, again churning out his season's best performance to date, he struck 817 runs at an average of 43.
Now keen to continue his development, the Norfolk opening batter is hoping to cement his place in the North Runcton 1st XI by the end of the UK 2024 season. This will allow him to embark on his first season in the Southern Hemisphere with plenty of confidence behind him.
A hard-working individual, Jacob is hoping to contribute both on and off the pitch, and holds an ECB level 2 coaching qualification.
