Jaimin Patel is a highly talented young player who is now pursuing his dream of playing cricket at the highest level possible.
Having had a couple of years away from the game, Jaimin is now fully focused on making the most of his ability and has the desire to push for higher honours.
An elegant top order batter, and part time left arm seamer (who can also take the gloves if required), Jaimin has bags full of talent. He represented the prestigious Surrey CCC academy as a youngster and went on to feature for Whitgift Schools First XI alongside representing Sutton Cricket Club at club level. With a view to always trying to better himself, he went on to have stints at Loughton Cricket Club (First XI) and has most recently joined Eastcote Cricket Club in the Middlesex League following a two year hiatus from the game, where working became his priority.
Whilst on his break from the game, Jaimin has had time to reflect and has now realised that cricket is his passion and something he ultimately wants to do at professional level, if at all possible. He has the desire and work ethic to chase this and has targeted a season down under to allow him to fully focus on developing his all round game.
He has also spent a lot of time in India, fine tuning his skills at various training camps alongside competitive matches. This shows not just his desire to be the best player he can be but also a willingness to come out of his comfort zone and test himself in new conditions. He is also a keen coach, and whilst he does not have any qualifications as yet, he is working towards completing these during the UK summer to develop himself even further.
An exciting talent who would no doubt be a good choice for the summer.
