Jalat Khan is a high quality spin bowling all rounder and current captain of Quetta Region in Pakistan.
A player with immense experience not just in Pakistan but Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and notably in club cricket in the UK, Jalat is a stand out option for the coming summer. A genuine all rounder who bowls left arm spin and bats in the top/middle order, Jalat has enjoyed a fine career to date. At the time of writing, he has 331 professional wickets to his name across the three formats with a best of 6/35. To evidence his all round prowess, he has a best score of 170 in professional cricket and has made x2 first class hundreds and x11 first class fifties. He is also in brilliant recent form and took 5/28 and made 71 runs in his last outing in first class cricket.
He is also highly experienced in UK conditions and has an excellent record as a professional in club cricket. His stats speak for themselves. He has enjoyed prolific stints, mainly across North Staffordshire where he has played against our very own Dan Hancock who can vouch for his quality after being on the receiving end of his bowling and brutal batting over the years. In a seven year UK career, his stats are below....
2015 - 83 wickets @ 10.28 - 959 runs @ 56.41
2016 - 73 wickets @ 15.86 - 1012 runs @ 46.00
2017 - 54 wickets @ 8.78 - 300 runs @ 20.00
2018 - 71 wickets @ 13.62 - 1054 runs @ 45.83
2019 - 60 wickets @ 13.40 - 605 runs @ 27.50
2022 (visa delay only 50 overs bowled) - 177 runs @ 29.50 (6 innings)
2023 - 27 wickets @ 14.93 - 615 runs @ 38.44
Jalat is clearly a quality overseas professional and also has the added benefit of being able to source his own accommodation in the Stoke On Trent area. He is however open to opportunities all over the UK. A current first class captain, left arm spinner, excellent batter, proven uk pro and in excellent current form, Jalat ticks a lot of boxes for any club seeking a quality all rounder for the coming season.
