The right-arm quick has made quite the impact in domestic cricket to date and is a player that comes highly recommended by numerous sources in New Zealand cricket. McKay is a highly driven cricketer who aspires to become a key figure for the Volts and push for Blackcaps honours in future.
He's made every post a winner this summer in New Zealand. The tall quick topped the Volts first-class wicket charts, and his 26 poles at 35.76 saw him finish 6th on the Plunket Shield charts overall.
Now the season has come to an end, McKay will head abroad in 2025 having signed with Elworth for their North Staffs and South Cheshire campaign. It will be his second UK club stint having previously featured for Bridgwater in the West of England Premier League back in 2023 (31 wickets at 23.45).
The Volts quick is definitely one to watch this summer.
