Karansinh Nandey is an explosive batting all-rounder playing corporate cricket in India. He is the current skipper of Mafatlal (Reliance Industries Limited) and represents PJ Hindu Gymkhana in A Division club cricket in Mumbai. He has been a stand-out in both for well over a decade – boasting best performances of 207*, and 9-26 with his seam-up.

After years of domestic dominance and being repeatedly overlooked for State selection (save for 1 T20 outing for Maharashtra in October 2011), he was provided an opportunity to play provincial cricket in Sri Lanka.

He spent the 2018/19 season plying his trade for Chilaw Marians in List A cricket where he impressed – averaging 41.50 with a highest score of 106 against the star-studded Sri Lankan Army bowling attack featuring Sri Lankan spinner Seekukuge Prasanna.

The following season he returned to play first-class cricket for Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club where he added a further 207 runs at 25.87.

Whilst bowling opportunities were limited in Sri Lanka, mainly due to pitches more suited to spin, he often opened with the new ball. He boasts excellent skills, moving the ball both ways at reasonable pace. Nandey would be ideally suited to English club wickets, and that’s exactly what he’s out to do – play UK club cricket in 2022.

A player that comes highly recommended, and someone who we suspect will be a very useful all-round option for the upcoming season.
