Keshan Wijerathne is a high quality seam bowling all rounder with a decorated career both in professional cricket in Sri Lanka and overseas in the UK as a club cricket professional.
A genuine quick, Keshan's speed averages around the 135kph mark and he represents a genuine strike bowler capable of blowing teams away. He is also a talented batter, with a first class best of 62 not out to demonstrate his ability.
He has long been regarded as a player to watch in Sri Lanka, being selected in the national under 19 team in 2014 and taking 4/38 against Australia on debut. He since been in both the Sri Lanka Emerging and Sri Lanka 'A' squads due to his strong performances at first class level. His momentum was halted for a short period around the time of the covid pandemic but he is now back up to full fitness and firing on all cylinders and bowling quicker than ever.
He has also shown his quality in several seasons as a club cricket professional both in England and Ireland, representing Lindal Moor CC (2018), Glendormott CC (2019), Torquay Cricket Club (shortened stint in 2021) and Norton In Hales CC (2023).
