Khayyam Khan is one of the brightest talents in Pakistan, currently playing first class cricket for Abbottabad.
He is a high quality top order batter/keeper who was earmarked for the top from an early age. His talent was there for all to see as an emerging youngster on the Pakistan domestic scene and his performances were recognised with Pakistan U-19 selection in 2019, where he was picked to play in x2 ODIs against Sri Lanka alongside players such as Saim Ayub and Haider Ali.
He has now set off on his first class cricket journey. Under the captaincy of experienced UK professional Khalid Usman (who recommends Khayyam as someone who will excel as an overseas pro), he has started with a bang. In just his second game, he made an elegant, match winning 96 against a strong Faisalabad attack which helped his team to a 134 run win. He is now looking forward to featuring in all formats for Abbottabad as he establishes himself at the top level.
Khayyam is an ambitious young man and has his sights firmly set on representing his country in the future. For the time being however, he has targeted a season in Europe as an overseas professional to continue to develop his all round game. He is an extremely pleasant and polite young man who has the world at his feet, we recommend him highly for any club looking for a player who's talent has an extremely high ceiling.
