Kriston Yearwood is a talented batting all-rounder from Montserrat in the Leeward Islands chain in the Caribbean.
A left-handed top-order batter who bowls right-arm seam, Yearwood is a member of the Montserrat senior cricket and basketball sides. At 6’4 tall, it’s fair to say he’s built for both sports.
The youngster, who benefits from a British Passport, has represented the Leeward Islands through the age groups (U17s, U19s) and is a key performer for his national team.
In 2021, he was handed a developmental contract to play club cricket in the UK. Yearwood turned out for Bovey Tracey in the Devon Premier League and whilst he didn’t set the league alight, he produced some useful performances (including a notable 55* against Paignton) to suggest he has a bright future in the game.
The youngster returned to the UK for a second stint last summer where he enjoyed another successful stint, this time for Penwortham in the Palace Shield (820 runs at 34.17).
The dual Passport holder is now eager to head down under for the 2022/23 season, before a third UK summer in 2023.
