Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Lara has enjoyed a fantastic career to date, with her cricket taking her all around the world. An enthusiastic, energetic person, Lara is an infectious character to have around, she is however highly driven to be the best cricketer she can possibly be. It is these traits that have earned her international recognition and she continues to drive her game forward.

Lara made her WODI international debut for Ireland against India in May 2017 and her T20I debut the following year against New Zealand. At the time of writing she has played x5 WODI's and x26 T20I's for her country. She has not featured for her country since 2021, as she took a break to focus on her studies but she remains determined to push her case for selection once more and has spent time in South African domestic cricket playing for South Western Districts (Garden Route Badgers) in the recent past to try and develop her game. She also has experience of playing in Australia, namely South Perth Cricket Club (2019), winning the 50 over competition and Melville Cricket Club (2020/2021) where she was instrumental in winning the league and T20 competitions. Lara was also a member of the ICC development squad and spent time training with Adelaide Strikers whilst in Australia in 2019.

Back in Ireland, she has been a prominent figure for her club Balbriggan Cricket Club (2022-2024), where she was a driving force in establishing a strong women's section and was also the first team captain. She is now playing for Hollywood Cricket club and continues to shine. Over the years she has won numerous awards for her all round performances, notably winning the Northern Ireland batter and bowler and bowler of the year awards in 2024 and best premier league all rounder in 2023.

A positive batter with a high strike and genuine seam bowler, Lara represents a fantastic all round option for the coming season. With her positive character on top, she would be a pleasure to host for any club seeking a player of her skill set. Lara is also a keen and enthusiastic ECB Level 2 coach.
