Larry Edward

Larry Edward is a highly skilled left-arm spinner and a genuine all-rounder currently making his mark with the Windward Islands in West Indies domestic cricket. With solid experience in both first-class and List A formats, Edward has accumulated impressive wicket tallies—77 wickets at 26.83 in first-class and 47 wickets at 28.02 in List A—across 24 and 40 matches respectively.

His cricket journey began early in St Lucia, where he captained at multiple youth levels including U15, U17, and U19 for the Windward Islands. Balancing academics and sport, Edward pursued a degree at the University of the West Indies while developing his cricketing career, making his senior Windward Islands debut in the 2015/16 season and later representing Combined Campuses and Colleges in List A cricket.

Edward’s standout performances include his maiden five-wicket haul (5-67) in the 2018/19 Regional 4-Day Tournament and career-best figures of 6-43 (match figures 9-81) against Barbados in 2022/23. He has shown consistent prowess in the shorter formats too, excelling in the Vincy Premier League and the 6ixty T10 competition with notable wicket hauls and impressive averages.

His UK experience is equally notable. As a young player for Horsforth in 2024, Edward took an astonishing 36 wickets at an average of 5.69 and scored 91* with the bat, showcasing his all-round ability. Returning over a decade later to play for Formby, he again proved instrumental by taking over 50 wickets at an average of 20, contributing significantly to their success.

Larry Edward’s left-arm spin craft, combined with his useful lower-middle order batting and excellent character, makes him a valuable overseas professional prospect. He is keen to return to the UK for the 2026 season, where his skillset and experience would be a major asset to any club.
