Now that his schooling is coming to an end, Lukas is keen to continue developing his skill sets through further international experience in the 2025 Australian off season. Lukas has impressed with the gloves from a young age, his agility and concentration behind the stumps can be traced back to his early years of gymnastics where he was a national level athlete. The fitness and athleticism makes him a powerful hitter of the ball and a batter who can move the game along consistently, showcasing a wide range of 360-degree boundary scoring shots.

Lukas' junior representative career has seen him play for Sydney University in the prestigious U16 A.W. Green Shield for two seasons including his last in 2022/23 as captain. Closer to home he has represented ACT in the U17 Australian National Championships for the past two season where he excelled. Solid performances resulted in him being selected in the ACT Comets senior development squad tour of India at the end of last season.

His performances over the past season have seen him selected as an underage in the U19 ACT squad for the 2024/25 Australian National Championships, as well as the Emerging Comet Talent Squad as a targeted player for Comets in the Australian 2nd XI Competition (one step below Sheffield Shield). He has also been included in the Sydney University squad for the upcoming U21 Poidevin Gray 'PGs" Shield Competition.

Lukas has also been playing senior grade cricket since he was 12 years old for the Tuggeranong Valley Cricket Club (TVCC) in the Cricket ACT Premier Cricket Competition. He made his 2nd grade debut at 15 and his first-grade debut last season at 17 years of age. He has been named in the TVCC team of the season, wicket keeper of the year, and last season was the highest run scorer in 2nd grade. For the coming season he is in the first-grade squad and hopes to play the full season in the top grade.

At the conclusion of a busy home Summer, Boorer will turn his attention to his first full season in the Northern Hemisphere. A 'Pathway' player due to his ACT representative honours, Lukas will be available for Holland & Republic Of Ireland Clubs.
