Mandy Mangru is an exceptional all-rounder who made her maiden West Indies call-up for the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE in October 2024. Since then, she has represented the Windies in 6 ODIs and 6 T20Is. Her selection followed a standout performance in the T20 Blaze Regional Tournament, where she finished among the top five run-scorers.
This isn’t Mangru’s first taste of international cricket, having made her ODI debut against South Africa during the Windies’ 2022 tour. A genuine all-rounder, she bats in the top-to-middle order, keeps wicket, and bowls off-spin. Behind the stumps, she is renowned for her sharp reflexes, quick hands, and ability to execute crucial stumpings and catches under pressure. With the bat, she can both anchor an innings and accelerate aggressively when required.
Mangru is also a clever and accurate off-spinner capable of breaking key partnerships, while in the field she is agile, has excellent awareness, and possesses a strong throwing arm, making her a threat anywhere on the ground. Her combination of skills and on-field leadership makes her an invaluable asset to any side.
Looking ahead, Mangru is determined to cement her place in the West Indies Women’s team and is seeking a UK club stint in 2026 to further her development. She comes highly recommended by her coaches, including Shane Deitz.
