Matthew Scoble is a talented young bowling all-rounder from Wellington, New Zealand.
A right-arm fast medium bowler, Scoble is a former Wellington U19 representative who currently plays his Club Cricket for well renowned Onslow in the Wellington Premier Competition.
The 21-year-old bowls at a lively pace and takes the new ball on a regular occasion. Also an organised middle-order batter, the right-hander has a solid technique and is capable of making match winning contributions with the bat in hand.
An experienced individual, Matthew was a member of the Wellington age-group system since he was a junior. Excelling in everything he does, the all-rounder represented his District at the U19 National finals, and was in the top 10 wicket-takers for the tournament.
With over a hundred premier wickets already in the bag for Onslow, Scoble boasts best match figures of 8 for 15, and already has 23 wickets across all formats during the 2023/24 campaign. After impressive club performances, the Kiwi earned himself representative honours for Wellington A, and continues to push for higher honours.
Matthew has recently signed for Palmerston Cricket Club (AUS) ahead of their 2024 Darwen & Districts Campaign. We look forward to seeing him perform well in the Northern Territory Competition during the New Zealand off season.
