Mehran Sanwal is an all action seamer who has made quite the impact in first class cricket since his debut in October 2024.
At the time of writing, he has an outstanding 55 wickets at an average of 20.27 from just eleven matches played and has demonstrated consistency which may take him on to higher honours. He made an immediate impact on debut, taking 3/39 in the second innings and claimed the wicket of Usman Salahuddin twice in the match. Since then he has been a spearhead for the Bahawalpur attack in all matches with figures of 4/106 and 4/75 against Peshawar, 4/28 and 3/36 against Multan, 4/115 and 2/49 against Rawalpindi and claimed his maiden five wicket haul in his most recent match against Karachi Whites with figures of 1/61 and 5/22 (including the wickets of Pakistan internationals Saud Shakeel and Khurram Manzoor) in the match. He currently sits with x3 five wicket hauls and x4 four wicket hauls in his first class career.
The figures above quite clearly show Mehran's quality but also demonstrate his high fitness levels with the ability to bowl long spells as well as blow away the top order. He also backs himself with bat in hand and is capable of contributing good runs from the middle/lower order with the ability to hit a long ball.
Mehran is a stand-out performer who is set to play for Penzance in the Cornwall League this summer.
