Mehran Sanwal is a lively, high-impact seamer who has made an immediate mark in first-class cricket since debuting in October 2024. In just 12 matches, he has claimed an impressive 57 wickets at an average of 21.57, establishing himself as a key figure in the Bahawalpur bowling attack.

He hit the ground running with 3/39 in the second innings of his debut match, dismissing seasoned campaigner Usman Salahuddin twice. Since then, he’s been a consistent wicket-taker across all fixtures, with standout performances including 4/106 and 4/75 against Peshawar, 4/28 and 3/36 against Multan, 4/115 and 2/49 against Rawalpindi, and a maiden five-wicket haul (5/22) against Karachi Whites—where he removed internationals Saud Shakeel and Khurram Manzoor. In total, he already boasts three five-wicket hauls and four four-wicket performances in his fledgling first-class career.

Sanwal’s numbers highlight not only his skill but also his stamina, regularly delivering long, testing spells while maintaining sharpness and control. He’s also a useful lower-order batter with the power to clear the ropes when needed.

Currently in his debut UK season with Penzance CC, he has continued to impress, taking 28 wickets at a superb average of 14.07—further reinforcing his credentials as a rising fast-bowling prospect.
