Mehran Sanwal

Mehran Sanwal is a lively, high-impact seamer who has made an immediate mark in first-class cricket since debuting in October 2024. In 17 matches to date, he has claimed 60 wickets at an average of 26.88, establishing himself as a key figure for both Bahawalpur and, more recently, Pakistan Television.

He hit the ground running with 3/39 in the second innings of his debut match, dismissing seasoned campaigner Usman Salahuddin twice. Since then, he's been a consistent wicket-taker across all fixtures, with standout performances including 4/106 and 4/75 against Peshawar, 4/28 and 3/36 against Multan, 4/115 and 2/49 against Rawalpindi, and a maiden five-wicket haul (5/22) against Karachi Whites—where he removed internationals Saud Shakeel and Khurram Manzoor. In total, he now boasts three five-wicket hauls and four four-wicket performances in his still-young first-class career, and has recently added a move to Pakistan Television to his CV.

Sanwal's numbers highlight not only his skill but also his stamina, regularly delivering long, testing spells while maintaining sharpness and control. He's also a useful lower-order batter with the power to clear the ropes when needed.

After an outstanding debut UK season for Penzance CC, including a league title and a national KO final appearance at Lords, Mehran signed with Wanstead & Snaresbrook CC for the 2026 summer and made another huge impact, taking 40 wickets at 23.48 with a best of 7/30 and two five-wicket hauls across the campaign.
