Niall Dunn (23), a passionate and driven left-handed opening batter from Lancashire, England.

After a breakthrough 2024 season, where the opening batter amassed over 750 runs at an average of 37.95 across all competitions for Lytham Cricket Club Second XI in the highly regarded Liverpool and District Cricket Competition, Dunn showcased his ability to lead from the front with the bat and as team captain.

For the 2025 season, Dunn made the move to Kirkham and Wesham Cricket Club in the newly structured Northern Pyramid – Palace Shield Premier Division, seeking greater First XI responsibility and coaching opportunities. The switch has started well, with the left-hander already passing 200 runs (as of early June) and leading the Club’s Under 15s side as part of its junior development programme.

With the bat, Dunn is known for his patience and ability to anchor an innings, rotating strike effectively and punishing anything short or wide square of the wicket. In addition to his primary role as a batter, he is working to develop his Slow Left Arm Orthodox spin as a supplementary bowling option, and is also capable of donning the gloves if needed.

Off the field, Dunn is a fully qualified ECB Core Coach (Level Two) and is eager to immerse himself in both senior and junior coaching structures. A natural mentor, he is passionate about nurturing emerging talent and contributing positively to the wider club culture.

Now seeking an opportunity to spend the 2025/26 season in Australia or New Zealand, Niall is looking for a club where he can contribute with both bat and ball, add depth to the coaching setup, and leave a lasting impact on and off the field.

A well-rounded cricketer-coach with leadership experience, versatility, and a passion for development — an ideal pick-up for any ambitious club.
