Otis Palmes (22) is an exciting seam bowling all rounder from Cheshire, England.
As a medium fast bowler, Otis swings the ball naturally into a right hander and hits a good length with the ball. He is also capable at bowling at the death with his use of cutters and back of the hand slower balls. Palmes has taken 54 1st XI wickets for Macclesfield Cricket Club in the strong Cheshire County Cricket league averaging 23.96 and a total of 194 senior wickets since he started playing Senior cricket as an Under 13 (2015).
Otis is a very versatile batsman and is comfortable playing whether opening, middle or lower order, but generally bats mid to lower order. In the 2023 Season, he regularly opened both the bowling and the batting for Macclesfield CC 2nd XI team. Otis' has an attacking batting style and looks to score from ball one. He generally likes to play off the front foot and when playing spin looks to use his feet as much as possible to take on spinners.
The Englishman is also a keen and qualified coach (ECB Level 2), and has a Sports Coaching BSc (Hons) 2:1.
Otis will head to Victoria this winter having signed for Old Students Cricket Club for the Cricket Shepperton campaign.
