Patrick Rowe is an exciting prospect coming through the Victorian ranks in Australia. A schoolboy prodigy, Rowe is an opening batter who keeps wicket, who has excelled at every level to date, culminating with his first-class debut for Australia A v India in December 2020.

His inclusion was just reward for his exploits for VIC at the National Under-17, and 19 Championships over the years. In September 2016, he belted 327 runs at 40.87 (U17s), before representing Cricket Australia at the U19 carnival in December 2016. He played in the following U17 tournament, then two further U19 Championships, hitting a ton (135* v NSW) with an average of 57.33 during the latter (Dec 2019).

The previous summer, he also represented VIC U23s in the Futures League competition. Rowe’s success has also generated 13 outings for the Australian Under-19s to include the 2020 ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa.

At Premier Grade level, Rowe plays for the famous St Kilda club, home to the legend that is Shane Warne. He struck 261 runs at 26.10 (2018/19) in Premier 1st Grade during his maiden season and has then backed up with season tallies of 145 at 36.25 (2019/20), 411 at 31.62 (2020/21), and 413 at 37.55 (2021/22).

Courtesy of his exploits, he was picked up for a BBL match for the Melbourne Stars in January 2022.

The run machine has also enjoyed three prolific Uk stints. The first in the Devon League for Sandford (2016-17), where he produced highest scores of 91 and 100 in his mid-teens. Rowe was also a Free Foresters regular hitting a brilliant 160 against Oxford University. Over the past two seasons, in division one of the Surrey Championship for Banstead, he has excelled with 7 centuries amongst nearly 2,000 runs all with an average over 60.

Seeking professional cricket, Rowe ventured to Zimbabwe in October 2023 and played for the Mid West Rhinos, with highlights being his back-to-back fifties in the Logan Cup against the Eagles (55), and Rocks (72).

Rowe has high hopes to return to his homeland and push for State honours in 2024/25, but prior to this will embark on a third stint with Banstead in 2024.
