Rameez Alam is an experienced Pakistani professional boasting an impressive domestic record spanning more than a decade.

After making his debut in 2007, Rameez has racked up 3,895 runs at 30.91 with 7 centuries and a top score of 222* in his 81 First Class games. In 31 List A games and 13 T20 games, he averages 33.57 and 30.66 respectively. Rameez is an extremely well respected and popular cricketer both in his homeland and in the UK where has spent several successful seasons as a club cricketer over recent years. He has enjoyed stints at Farnworth Social Circle CC, Ardmore CC, Newton Le Willows CC and most recently Dukinfield CC where he received excellent feedback for his performances both on and off the field. In his last two seasons at Dukinfield he registered 933 runs (2023) and 775 runs (2024) to evidence his quality.

Batting is without doubt his strong suit but Rameez is also able to turn his arm over to bowl some useful overs when required. He is also a keen coach and would be looking to add value to his new club in this regard. He has accomodation available in Manchester and therefore represents a fine option for any club nearby.

Rameez is playing for Norton-in-Hales for their 2025 North Staffs and South Cheshire League campaign and has enjoyed another strong season to date (718 runs at the time of writing, with a quarter of the season still to go). He is considering his options moving forward and would need a GBE endorsement in place by the 4th of September to qualify for the International Sportsperson Visa.
