Rasika Maharaj (28) is a seasoned spin-bowling all-rounder from South Africa, with extensive domestic experience and a proven track record of performing at a high level.
In her return to the professional circuit, Rasika quickly reasserted her quality, becoming the joint leading wicket-taker for the Titans Ladies in the Hollywoodbets Pro 50 Series. Her performances also saw her rise into the top 10 wicket-takers nationally on the CSA Leading Wicket Takers board.
Across a List A career spanning over 60 matches, Maharaj has claimed 89 wickets at an impressive average of 13.74, including multiple five-wicket hauls. A skilful and intelligent spinner, Rasika offers excellent control whilst possessing the ability to consistently take wickets and influence matches.
She is also a capable lower-order batter, regularly making valuable contributions with the bat when required. Her strong domestic form earned her an invitation to the CSA National Academy, where she impressed in training matches as the leading wicket-taker during her stint.
Rasika previously featured in the Proteas Women’s setup, before stepping away from professional cricket to pursue her tertiary studies. During this time, she remained heavily involved in the game, helping develop women’s cricket within underprivileged communities across Asia.
After returning to the professional game in 2024/25, Rasika continued to demonstrate her quality and made the move to Holland for the 2026 season, signing with Kampong Cricket Club.
Across 12 matches in Holland, Rasika scored 210 runs at an average of 35.00, including a highest score of 47*. With the ball, she claimed 9 wickets at 35.00, with best figures of 2/32.
Having gained valuable European experience with Kampong, Rasika is now keen to return to Europe for the 2027 season and would be an excellent addition to any club looking for an experienced spin-bowling all-rounder who can contribute with both bat and ball.
