A few months later (Nov-Dec 2021), Hassan would continue to shine, this time in first-class cricket (Ahmad Shah Abdali Tournament) averaging 79.50 including a highest score of 196.
Over the next few years, Hassan would become a regular for the Afghanistan A side, whilst finding his feet in the ODI set-up. In July 2023, he would average 62.33 in the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Emerging Cup, then the following year (April/May 2024) he would strike 2 tons and a 74 in their 6-match series against Sri Lanka A.
His exploits for the A side and in domestic cricket, plus signs of promise on the international stage has ensured Hassan remains a key prospect for Afghanistan’s white-ball future.
A serious prospect, Hassan not only dominates up top with the bat, but doubles as an accomplished wicketkeeper. Hassan has a bright future ahead of him and the talented Afghan is now seeking global opportunities, following in the footsteps of his fellow team-mates who dominate the Franchise game.
