Rob Willis is a proactive top/middle order batsman who has experience playing in South Africa, Australia and England.
Willis started his cricketing career at Bromyard CC & Ombersley CC Junior section in Herefordshire/Worcestershire- with honours playing for both junior county set ups. The batter made his Bromyard 1st XI debut as a 16 year old and was a consistent member of the team. This led him to being offered an exchange programme playing for the Pretoria Titans Academy in South Africa in January 2019 following completion of his college studies. Following this he attended Bradford University to complete a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy alongside playing cricket the University and Bromyard.
A notable innings for the player was in the final game of the 2022 season where Bromyard needed to win to stay in the league- Willis produced a match winning innings of 118 to lead the team from 73-5 to 281-6 and a win by 143 runs (https://www.play-cricket.com/website/results/5168416). Following his graduation he got the opportunity to play for Dromana Cricket Club in the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association as their overseas player in 2023.
On returning to the UK he took on the responsibility of captaining Bromyard 1st XI in the 2023 and 2024 season through a very difficult time for the club resulting in relegation from the Worcestershire Premier Division at the end of the 2024 season.
He has since moved to Stourport CC for the 2025 season for new challenges and with the goal of pushing for promotion into the Birmingham and District League.
Willis is now keen to take on a new challenge in Australia or New Zealand this winter....
