Rohan Sanjaya is a highly promising left-arm spin bowling all-rounder currently playing for Moors Sports Club in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. A standout from a young age, he rose through the ranks as a schoolboy prodigy, highlighted by winning the Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer All Island ‘Best Bowler’ award in 2019 and earning Sri Lanka U19 honours during the 2018–19 season.

He featured in 18 matches for the U19s—three Tests and 15 ODIs—taking 37 wickets. His standout performance came in a Test against Australia, where he claimed match-winning figures of 5 for 94 and 4 for 37. Following his success at youth level, Sanjaya transitioned smoothly into domestic cricket, representing Colts from 2018/19 to 2022/23, then Badureliya in 2023/24, before joining Moors in 2024.

In the most recent SLC Major League One Day Tournament, he continued to shine, taking 11 wickets at 16.90, bringing his overall domestic haul to 66 wickets at an average of 28.9. While his bowling remains his main strength, Sanjaya also contributes with the bat. Batting at number seven for Moors—just behind Sri Lankan Test all-rounder Ramesh Mendis—he has scored 562 runs in 47 domestic innings at an average of 20.5, despite limited middle-order opportunities.

Sanjaya’s debut UK season with Caldy CC has been a resounding success. He scored 645 runs at 40.31, including a top score of 127, and starred with the ball, taking 45 wickets at an exceptional average of 10.80. With such performances, he's firmly positioned for a strong return to the UK in 2026.
