The Oldham (Lancashire) based former Bangladeshi professional is looking to make waves in English club cricket over the next few years.

Ahmed played first-class cricket for the best part of a decade, playing 39 matches since his debut in 2009. During this period, he scored 1,614 runs at 26.03 with a century (106) and 10 fifties.

He enjoyed three prolific seasons, hitting 349 runs at 38.77 (2014/15), 375 runs at 41.66 (2015/16), and 226 runs at 25.11 (2016/17), but only featured in 3 first-class matches thereafter.

A former Bangladesh Under-23 representative, Ahmed was a star performer in the Sylhet League, hitting 2 double centuries in 50-over matches. He was also part of Sylhet Division's victorious National League campaign in 2018/19.

A hard-working, and highly driven cricketer, during his first UK stint last summer he scored 582 runs at 25.30 for Glossop in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. He is now looking for a new club in 2022 where he will be going all out to improve these numbers with whatever club he signs for.
