Rumesh Buddhika is an accomplished Sri Lankan batting all-rounder who has dominated domestic cricket for nearly two decades. Since making his List A debut in September 2009, he has featured in over 250 matches across all three formats, representing a host of top clubs including Burgher Recreation Club, Chilaw Marians, Galle, Nugegoda Sports Welfare, Ragama, Tamil Union, and most recently, Panadura.
Throughout his illustrious career, Buddhika has accumulated close to 10,000 runs, including 19 centuries, and holds an impressive first-class average of 41.76. A genuine all-rounder, his handy off-spin has also accounted for more than 50 wickets.
Before breaking into the professional ranks, Buddhika was a standout at the youth level, representing Sri Lanka U19 during their 2009 tour to Australia, where he averaged 43.86. He went on to score a century during the U19 Tri-Series in South Africa and featured in the 2010 ICC U19 World Cup.
Since then, he has carved out a long and successful domestic career and continues to perform at a high level 14 years on. In addition to his achievements at home, Buddhika has enjoyed prolific seasons abroad, with successful stints in England and Northern Ireland. He has played for:
