Ryan O'Brien is an impressive batting all-rounder (Seam) from Manchester, England.
The Englishman is a fluent right handed top order batter and right arm medium quick bowler who can win a game with either discipline.
At club level the all-rounder has been starring in the Cheshire County Cricket League for a number of years. 2023 was his 1st year as club Pro at Urmston Cricket Club, where he impressed with over 600 runs at 33 & took 30 wickets at 19 & again in 2024 with 725 runs at 45 & 26 wickets. This year Ryan has moved to powerhouses Hyde in the Premier League and currently has nearly 400 runs at 42.
O'Brien has also been part of the Cheshire County Cricket Club set up for a number of years, and has impressed for the 2nd XI side, and is hoping to break into the 1st XI on a regular basis in 2025. The all-rounder is no stranger to Aussie shores either, as he impressed as afresh faced 18 year old for Brunswick Cricket Club in the VSDCA and last winter for Parkdale in the Cricket Southern Bayside comp with nearly 500 runs and 15 wickets.
Now older & wiser and a far better cricket he is keen to return for the 2025/26 season. The Englishman is also a keen and qualified coach. No doubt a player in huge demand and one we see excelling next season.
