Sachintha Peiris is an accomplished off-spin bowling all-rounder currently playing for Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club alongside fellow CricX stars including Dinushka Malan, Sanoj Darshika, Damith Perera, and Samit Gohil.
Since his first-class debut for Nondescripts back in 2016, Peiris has since gone on to play 100 matches across the three formats for numerous sides, including the likes of Burgher Recreation, Colts, Saracens, Nondescripts, and most recently, Kurunegala Youth.
Known as an incredibly skilful, and economical off-spinner, Peiris has taken well over 150 domestic wickets with averages of circa 30 (FC), 27 (List A), and 18 (T20). With the bat, whilst opportunities are limited in the lower-middle order, Peiris is a more than handy batter who averages 13 in first-class, including numerous key contributions.
Courtesy of his success over the years, Peiris has featured in numerous Sri Lankan squads, including the Schools U13-U19 Spin squad, the National Spin squad, the Sri Lankan U19s and most recently the Emerging Players quad in 2018/19.
