Sam Kaye (22), a talented bowling all-rounder from Nottingham, England.
Kaye’s cricketing journey began at his home club, Notts and Arnold Cricket Club, where his natural talent quickly stood out. His abilities earned him a place in the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club pathway system, where he progressed from U11 to U18, playing alongside several current First-Class cricketers, including England leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed. Despite narrowly missing out on a scholarship, Kaye has remained determined to make inroads in the game.
At university level, Sam has been a key member of the University of Birmingham 1st XI, competing in Division One of the BUCS Competition, where he regularly faces County 2nd XI and NCCA players. Alongside his studies, he has played for Duffield Cricket Club in the Derbyshire County Cricket League, where he enjoyed a highly successful 2024 season, despite only playing half the summer due to university commitments. He picked up 31 wickets at an average of 18.35 while also making useful contributions with the bat, averaging 20.
Now set to complete his studies, Kaye is ready to embark on his first season Down Under to continue his development and push for higher honours. Eager to immerse himself both on and off the field, he would be a fantastic addition to any side looking for a wicket-taking off-spinner.
