Sam Brown is a talented wicket keeper batsman from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
The impressive Brown is a fluent right handed top order batsman and impressive gloveman, who has the added benefit of being eligible for a UK Ancestry Visa. Brown has been in/around the KwaZulu-Natal set up for a number of years, representing them at various age group levels and is joining the KwaZulu-Natal Tuskers Academy in November and also been selected for the 19s side to play at Coke Week before Christmas.
At club level the youngster represents University of KwaZulu Natal Cricket Club in the Premier Comp, having starred at school level for St Charles College for a number of years. The South African is due to complete his level 1 coaching qualification early in the new year, so will be a keen addition to his new clubs coaching structure when in the UK.
Brown was keen to head to the UK ahead of the 2024 season, and has now put pen to paper with Whickham Cricket Club ahead of their Northumberland & Tyneside Division One campaign. No doubt a player that ticks a-lot of boxes, we wish both Sam and Whickham the best of luck for the upcoming season.
