His performances at school level earned him a place at the prestigious Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), one of the most storied and successful cricket clubs in Sri Lanka.
In 2023, Sasindu made his first-class debut under the captaincy of Charith Asalanka, following strong performances in SSC’s Under-23 tournaments.
During the 2024–2025 domestic season, he gained invaluable experience playing alongside Sri Lankan Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Prabath Jayasuriya, and other national players.
That season, Sasindu hit a rich vein of form, scoring 279 runs at an impressive average of 46.50.
Following the season, Sasindu headed to Panadura Sports Club, where he continued to shine in the Under-23 tournament, scoring 325 runs, with 4 half-centuries at an average of 54.00.
