Shayne Moseley is an accomplished left-handed opening batter who earned West Indies Test selection in February 2021.

The Barbadian run machine played two Tests on their tour to Bangladesh. Unfortunately, he only managed 28 runs in his 4 innings and was subsequently dropped, but he remains in the frame for re-selection.

Moseley earned his Windies debut courtesy of his exploits for Barbados in red-ball cricket, and a century against New Zealand A (110 and 54 in the same match).

A punishing left-hander, Moseley comes from a proud cricketing family. His Uncle (Hallam Moseley) represented Somerset in County cricket for several years with distinction. He has been a stand-out performer for Barbados since his dominant debut season (2017/18) where he topped the side's run charts (643 runs at 37.82). A strong 2019/20 season (490 runs at 35 with a career-best 155*) resulted in Windies A selection the following year, and his century culminated with his Test call.

Moseley, who opens the batting for Barbados alongside skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, in a side that also features national players including Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Sharmarh Brooks, and CricX stars Jomel Warrican, and Keon Harding, to name but a few has also enjoyed success in England. He played a strong stint in the East Anglia Premier League for Frinton-on-Sea back in 2015 (646 runs at 53.83) and returned for a short stint in 2022 (125 runs at 41.67) before another brief stint last summer (2023) to help guide South Northumberland to the North East Premier League title.

The Windies Test batter, who doubles as an accredited (and enthusiastic) level two coach, is now set for another stint in 2024 having signed with Atherton for their North West Cricket League campaign.
