Sukitha Manoj Prasanna is an emerging Sri Lankan talent, already making a strong impression in domestic cricket and widely regarded as a player with the potential to reach the highest level. A top-order batter and wicketkeeper who can also bowl useful off-spin, Sukitha is a genuine all-round asset and a standout option as a club professional.
Having captained at every junior level, Sukitha's cricketing journey began at St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa, where he led teams from Under-13 through to First XI level. His leadership extended to provincial sides, captaining Colombo South and Western Province South in national age-group tournaments, and earning selection for Sri Lanka at Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 levels — including international tours to Malaysia and Japan.
By 2019, he had cemented his place in the Sri Lanka U-19 national squad and earned national cricket colours — a rare feat reflecting both performance and promise. Among his accolades are “Best Batsman” awards in major youth finals, “Player of the Tournament” in school rivalries, and consistent run-scoring under pressure.
Now 23, Sukitha has transitioned smoothly into senior domestic cricket. He is currently representing Team Jaffna in the National Super League (2023), following stints with Kalutara Town Club in the Major League Tournament, and Under-23 contributions for Chilaw Marians, Nugegoda, and now as captain of Panadura Sports Club’s U23 side.
In First-Class cricket, Sukitha has already played 22 matches, scoring 912 runs at 27.63 — including two centuries, a testament to his maturity and technical ability at the top level.
In 2025, he made his debut UK league appearance with Woodbank CC and has enjoyed a strong season so far, compiling 606 runs at 33.67, with a highest score of 94 (as of August). He is eager to build on this success and is seeking a return to the UK for the 2026 season.
