Thilanka de Silva is a promising all-rounder set to play for Kalutara Town Club last season having moved from Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club, with whom spent a run-filled 2019/20 Premier League campaign.

The schoolboy run machine topped Sebastianites' first-class run charts (344 runs at 38.22) and picked up 4 wickets with limited bowling opportunities. He has now moved to Kalutara to play as a genuine all-rounder this summer.

De Silva broke into professional cricket in 2019 following a glittering schoolboy career. He skipped his school (Madampe National) and was their best all-rounder at U13, U15, and U19 level. He joined Singha Sports Club at 17, represented Galle U19s, before making the transition to senior cricket for Sri Lankan Army Sports Club U23s, where he won back-to-back “best player” awards. His exploits for the Army culminated with first-class selection for Sebastianites and he impressed.
