Udayawansha Parakrama is an incredibly talented left-handed opening batter playing for Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club across Sri Lankan’s three domestic formats.

Recommended by legendary spinner, and Air Force team-mate, Gayan Sirisoma, Parakrama has played over 80 matches for the Club since his debut in December 2016.

He is on the verge of 1,000 runs in white ball cricket, but it’s the red ball format where he’s really shined. At the point of writing, the opener has scored almost 1,500 runs with an average in the mid-20s. He has 3 hundreds, 3 fifties, and the highest score of 155.

To compliment his batting, Parakrama is an accomplished gloveman who keeps wicket for the Air Force. To date, he has bagged 130 plus dismissals, with a decent percentage being stumpings (40).

Parakrama is currently into his fifth domestic season for the Air Force. He has become a leader within the group, acting as vice-captain in both 2017, and 2020, alongside skippering the Under-23s in 2018, and 2022.

The left-handed run machine is quite the player who is now looking to embark on his maiden UK season in 2023. He is a player that comes highly recommended, as a batter, gloveman, and an intelligent bloke who will integrate very well with any club he joins next summer.
