Umeshka Morais is an experienced spin bowler who has plied his trade for various Sri Lankan domestic sides in recent years, including Kalutara Physical Culture Centre (2014/15), Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club (2015/16), Moors Sports Club (2016/17), Police Sports Club (2017/18), Panadura Sports Club (2018/19), and most recently Burgher Recreation Club (2019/20-2022/23).

After years of toil trying to secure a permanent role, he finally shot to prominence for BRC in April 2021 taking figures of 7-46 (9.4) in a One-Day match against Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club.

The figures became the best in List A cricket for BRC in Sri Lankan domestic and, unsurprisingly he topped the sides tournament wicket charts, ahead of notable CricX stars (and BRC team-mates) Shanuka Dulaj, and Northumberland Senior League sensation Dushan Hemantha.

Morais is now eager to cement his role in all formats for BRC in 2023/24, and thereafter is seeking stints in both Australia and the UK.
