Vikash Kumar is a decorated cricketer currently playing for Mizoram at the top level of domestic cricket in India.
A high quality batter, Vikash was simply outstanding as an amateur player, and like many in India, due to the strength of their domestic game has had to wait patiently for his professional opportunities. He was the highest run scorer for his state and was also named 'Cricketer Of The Year' in the 2023-24 season by the Cricket Association of Mizoram. He was also the leading run scorer in the 1st Division.
He has now set his sights firmly on professional cricket and has started to show his talents at this level, featuring in 45 professional games across all formats. He scored back to back half centuries in the Ranji Trophy in October 2024 against Arunachal and Manipur respectively and has now established himself as a regular in the Mizoram line up. He has played alongside some of Indian crickets best domestic players, such as Uday Kaul and is a current team mate of fellow CricX clients, KC Cariappa, Jehu Anderson, Mohit Jangra and Joseph Lalthankhuma. They all recommend Vikash as someone who would score runs a plenty in the UK.
Vikash is also by no means a one trick pony. He has the ability to bowl leg spin to a good level and can also keep wicket, showing his versatility as a cricketer. A likeable character, he is a hard worker and trains extremely diligently. He would be a good guy to have around the place.
We reckon Vikash could be a little gem of a signing as an overseas professional, he is extremely keen to come and show his talents in the UK.
